I’m trying a new thing where I draw tarot cards at the end of every month to reflect what occurred during that month and what lessons to pick up. Similarly, I’ll draw cards to forecast what the following month’s focus should be.
Surprise card: While I was shuffling the deck for Feb, the seven of pentacles fell face up. The seven of pentacles is about investment and reward, which for me suited the theme of the month just fine. I was very stressed about finances and was looking for ways to earn extra money with my time and resources.
What happened in February: I was being careless with my finances at the same time as I was working hard and looking to reap results of my work. I think I got very antsy with my financial status and made a few impulsive decisions, but at least my focus wasn’t completely off-track.
Why it happened: Knight of cups is about jealousy and moodiness. Connected with my finances, I was very insecure about my lifestyle and financial standing and again, it resulted in a few impulsive decisions.
Lessons to learn: Given what happened in Feb, I should stop delaying important tasks and decisions and instead learn to prioritize well. I also need to make up my mind early on the decision-making game, have a clear direction and act on it with full force.
What’s going to happen in March: This was very promising. March is going to be about carefully planning for the future and having proper foresight, but it also promises inspiration.
Why it’s going to happen: The Page of Pentacles promises new (financial) opportunities, or manifestation. It looks like some of my work is going to pay off in March!
Things to look out for: The Six of Cups offers a warning to reject getting stuck in the past and making decisions based on nostalgia. It also predicts less social activities for me, likely in an effort to save money.
So my forecast for the month looks pretty spot-on, given my current problems and priorities. Money is playing a huge part in the kind of lifestyle I’m giving myself and the things I can afford to do. Finances aren’t everything, but I’m learning that they definitely define a lot of boundaries and opportunities.
How’s March looking for you?
